Grow Towards Wellness

Choose to live a healthy and fulfilling life. Wellness is more than being free from illness: it is a process of change and growth towards a mentally and physically healthy lifestyle.

Your Health & Wellness Matter

In order to live a higher quality life, maintaining optimal wellness is key. Everything we feel and do relates to our well-being and directly affects our actions and emotions. In order to subdue stress, reduce illness, and ensure positive moments in your life, you must achieve optimal wellness.

Live With Passion & Purpose

To achieve optimal wellness, one must apply it towards every possible endeavor. You can apply a wellness approach towards your environment, community, career, belief systems, physical activities, self care, healthy eating, self esteem, and creative activities. Applying wellness in your everyday life will allow you to achieve your full potential and live with passion and purpose.

pEAK PERFORMANCE

Peak  Performance and Dr. Jay Ding use a holistic approach to health care and  functional movement. Chiropractic, extremity, and cranial adjustments,  Acupuncture, myofascial soft-tissue release, NeuroMuscular Re-education,  Advanced Biostructural Therapy & Correction, emotional work and  nutritional modification and supplementation, physiotherapy, low light laser therapy, and different modalities are individually tailored  to fit the patient’s need. Because attitude is also an important factor  in the healing process of the body, the mind is also addressed. Our goal  in healing is the pursuit of balance.   Whether an issue is chronic,  acute, or striving to reach one's peak potential for performance, we  also start with the basics.

Benefits

Chiropractic actually means 'performed by hand' and  works by restoring your own innate ability to be healthy and maintain  homeostasis through corrections and realignments. When under the proper control of your nervous system, all  the cells, tissues, and organs of your body are designed to resist  disease and ill health.  You will know this when all cylinders are firing.  The chiropractic approach to better health and  balance involves locating the source of interference, often physical  pressure on a nerve, then adjusting the spine to then remove the  interference. The end results are  feeling restored, revitalized  and refocused!

This is a drawing of my friend, Dr. Jay Ding, chiropractor. But he’s not a regular chiropractor, the kind that spends twenty minutes on you, making adjustments, and tells you to come back one, two, maybe three times the following week; no, Dr. Ding will have you on his table as long as is necessary to fix you, which could mean a good two hours or more. The first time I went to him, I had impingement in my hip which caused a slight limp when I walked. I was on his table for over two hours, and when I wanted to pay him, he said, “No, we’re not finished, you can pay up next time.” Next time? I was leaving for a trip to Russia two days later, but Ding said he still wanted to put needles in me (he does that too, along with adjustments).   Walking around Moscow, I was surprised to find I was no longer in pain. I thought, Wow, this is a good city for me, too bad I can’t live here, and then I realized that my new pain-free condition had to do with Ding, the miracle worker, and not the walkability of Moscow. Now I make sure to see Dr. Ding every few months because I have an older arthritic body that needs regular attention if I want to continue drawing, dancing, standing in front of an easel. The good thing is he’s a sweet guy who’s incredibly funny and keeps you entertained the whole time you’re on his table. I cannot tell you how glad I am to have him in
